Imagine that, closing own borders without having to ask the EU. Denmark has done the same.

How come the death rate is so low in Scandanavian countries?

Norway 1051 cases, 2 deaths.
Denmark 836 cases, 1 death.
Sweden 961 cases, 2 deaths.
Finland 222 cases, 0 deaths.
Iceland 156 cases, 0 deaths.

They could be testing more. We’ve pretty much stopped testing according to a nurse I was speaking with.

No doubt the Frankenstein project will quickly bulling them into re-opening and then crush their sovereignty between their elitist, undemocratic claws.

Nobody knows yet thats one of the many questions about this virus.

Not sure who the expert was on Radio5 earlier but he was excellent answering the public's questions on the virus. But he was making that point same with the uk our numbers are low when you look at Italy and Spain. Spain esp if you look at their first case and the rapid increase in total numbers compared with uk and the Scandinavia countries its strange. He said it's one of those questions nobody has an answer to other than its definitely reacting differently in different countries.

He made the point about the flu epidemic in late 60' at this stage of the outbreak in the UK 100,000s had already caught it and 1000s died whereas in other Countries the numbers never reached that level and they've never understood why the numbers why so high in some countries and not others.

Possibly, but that is a death rate of 0.15%, and that's working under the assumption that there is no-one there with the virus that hasn't been tested.

Not no-one, but perhaps fewer.

Who knows, it’s idle speculation. We’re going to have a bit more time for that over the coming months.

What i mean there is that 0.15% death rate is a maximum figure. The more people wandering round Scandanavia with the virus who haven't been tested, the lower that figure becomes in reality. The WHO were estimating it was between 1% and 2%.

People who have the disease may yet die. Impossible to give a definitive mortality figure until the outbreak is over.

Accepted, but still strikingly different figures in an intrinsicly linked set of countries.

That was the problem in Italy. Healthcare workers getting infected and passing it on to their patients. Hopefully you can keep this contained.

Not necessarily. That could only be worked out by finding out where it was contracted case by case and other particulars.

If the time of year does dictate X amount of skiing holidays, (example only), so then tens get traced to a spot; say a resort, then they return home before displaying symptoms, then the thing they would all have in common is they are healthy individuals; enough to go skiing anyway.

Again, I feel compelled to say, I may have made that up, but if it were the case of profiling, it could make some sense.
