Why does it always end up as a much bigger job than you realised when you agreed to start it? A full day on it and i'm sure it looks worse now than it did yesterday. FFS

You need to call Banksterpinewoodfeckinwonderfulgardenservices dear chap.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

Isn't this always the case with any DIY? At least it is with me anyway!

One of the reasons I'm happy to be in a flat these days. I loved having a nice garden but rarely could be arsed to do the work to obtain it.

These last few weeks have also had me staring at the walls more intently and noticing just how much of a botch job I did with my decorating last summer. It's now driving me to distraction and probably will be enlisting the service of a pro when things settle down.

It's a never ending job, which can cost as much as you're prepared to spend....however, all of us will be spending so much time on it this year, the reward will be great. Our garden is looking great - weather helps.

And at the end of it, fingers crossed, weather willing & bugs/snails/slugs/diseases permitting, will result in having some veg to eat which aren't dependent on shop/supermarket availability, freshness and quality :)

Keep going - it's worth it in the end.

I had a small patio extension done and sorted some other bits out and a load of pressure washing over last couple of weeks and mine is looking great.

Just need to sort some of the grass out which is struggling in the heat

That's why it's always best to get another one started to tide you over while the first one drags on.
