It's time I got my head round this* and punters are asking for my help so what are your favorite tools?
I know of semrush and ahrefs, but they look quite pricey - any cheaper, nearly as good options?
Appreciate I'm asking a lot, so no worries if its too much.

What's the ask exactly? I mean, do you need this long-term and you'll be using it frequently on behalf of clients, or do they just want to know about which tools to use?
As far as I'm aware, the industry standard is more or less an either/or from the two you've mentioned. We use SEMRush. [Post edited 8 Jun 2020 17:49]

True, but I suppose you may want to consider outsourcing those particular tasks if the software is too pricey or doesn't warrant your time and attention. It's just finding someone reliable and cheap enough to fit the bill.

Seo is short for search engine optimisation : how to make a site more visible to google etc and get more visitors. Thats probably a crap definition, but you get the idea. | |
