Funny how the Championship currently has no plans for such a vote ... We've talked about crucial seasons for Town before, particularly in terms of getting up last year, but the sh7t is really hitting the fan now.

They already have rules to abide by. It's nuts. If we don't go up this season we will be nearer to National League level than Championship level, effectively. What a situation.

And the rules now mean that clubs with low revenue can spend more than that on wages - it seems mental how this has gotten through

The clubs that have voted for this are those with no real ambition to ever be anything more than a yo-yo club between League 1 and the Championship. Most of them don't even aspire to be that and see League 1 and League 2 as their natural level. It's about preserving their future and enabling them to be reasonably competitive at this level. What it more or less makes impossible is any side going up from League 1 and being able to genuinely compete in the Championship. The gulf is going to be massive.
