Without a club but training with Wigan . Think this big centre back was Toto's defensive partner for Shrewsbury when Hurst brought Toto to Town . If i have got this right i remember saying at the time after watching Shrew's play off matches that we were signing the wrong one !

I could see him forming a good partnership with Igor Bungay.

That's a coincidence. Omar Wigan is without a club and training with Beccles at the moment.

I think he was Loddon Sharif's defensive partner rather than Toto's?

Just to square the circle on this, George Orwell wrote 'The Road to Wigan Pier', the Orwell is a river in Suffolk, the Deben is also a river in Suffolk, the village of Bredfield and the hamlet of Boulge are both quite close to the river Deben, Edward Fitzgerald was born in Bredfield and is buried in Boulge, 'The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam' by Edward Fitzgerald is the most renowned translation of that work...

There was interest in Beckles at the time, indeed I was told he was actually here at one point.

And i suppose it is quite possible we could have had a look at him again if we had managed to move one or two on .
