... Pret's Christmas sarnie is a bit of a banger.

If anyone finds a superior Christmas sarnie from a chain, please do advise.

It's five weeks of pure sandwich pleasure.

The Pret Christmas range is always rather good.

I shall not be partaking this year however as I refuse to have a Pret unless it's because I am tied to a desk in the office.

It's got apricots in, which was a bit odd, but also great.

You know when you kiss a friend's sister and see your mate's face straight after? That sort of odd.

Pret for me is a 5 min stroll, so I'm sacrificing solidarity in the name of convenience, I'm afraid.

It's the first contender of Best Christmas Sarnie (By a Chain) but it's making a good case so far.

Think they're in a spot of bother over here with the city being dead. Shame really. The one near my work did a decent a selection of stuff.

It’s definitely better than in previous years. Despite WFH I do pop out and buy a sandwich some days.

You can get them on Deliveroo here, which is bizarre.

I can imagine a lot of these types of chains are in a lot of trouble, their entire business model is based around huge footfall and impulse buys from that footfall.

I can't get past the Bahn Mi place whenever I do that.

Hang on, where's this? Church St?

You may have told me before, and in fact you definitely have, but that sounds like heaven right at this minute.

Yes but unfortunately it closed down last week and has been replaced by a Bubble Waffle place which is simply scandalous. It was most upsetting to find they were closing and Bubble Waffles don't belong on Church Street.

Luckily another place has opened up on the high street which is good. Not as good as the one on Church Street was but still very nice.

I had to look up what a bubble waffle was. Thankfully it's not as bad as blue waffle.

But that looks dreadful. And now I'm dreaming of a char siu banh mi instead.

There was a really nice cafe & mini food shop in Kentish Town Road but it opened for about two weeks in June and has been closed ever since.

Only a bit of a sausage and no mash? This is not fit for TWTD.
