Hanks hamburger stalls, Boss Hogs cajun chicken, Texan Toms barbeque, Chicago style pizza mall and Big Ma Bakers apple pies. There will be a fixture on the fourth Thursday of November where there will be unlimited turkey. Soccer fans will be encouraged to start their matchday experience at some ungodly hour of the morning by setting up barbecues in the cattle market car park, drinking Coors beer and spouting bollox. Portman pies will be relegated to the annals of history.
| We have no village green, or a shop.
It's very, very quiet.
I can walk to the pub. |

And they have MASSIVE pretzels. One of them hits you in the face and you'll be on the floor for a week.

No I never did. Aside from The Windmill and The Tartan House (neither really Colchester as such), the odd business meeting or football, I have in all my years only been to Colchester once - thinking about it even that was when I was looking at a pub which I foolishly thought of buying. Thinking about it, as for a look around or a day or night out I have actually never been to Colchester.

I went to a pub on the Ipswich road with a mate and his girlfriend (they came from Colchester) in the 80's and they told me to keep quiet about football and just keep ourselves to ourselves. Apparently this pub was a nightmare for outsiders. I've been working in Colchester for a while now and my boss backed it up as a locals only. Was between Goring's Road and Valentine's Drive in Colchester. It's not there anymore surprisingly. Any Colchester based blues remember it?
