Lots of endeavour but two fairly poor sides cancelling each other out. A few times we got into good positions only to make a mess of the final ball but scrappy and unthreatening for the most part. Toto blocked Wigan's only good chance.
KVY isn't offering a lot but that's only to be expected after so long out.

KVY looks like someone who's played 15 minutes in 15 months or whatever it is, though his pace has helped him get a couple of good interceptions in that other players might have not. Edwards playing utterly crap balls towards him on the occasions he's gone to overlap hasn't helped.
Said on another thread, the 3 behind Norwood is well off where it needs to be which is seriously hampering chance creation, as has been the case for a long time now. Will certainly be an area Cook gives a lot of attention to over the summer. |  |

I guess Cook is sacrosanct at present so the players are getting all the blame, but objectively, let's face it, after some 5 games and a week's training there has been no significant improvement whatsoever. Early days for Cook obviously, but he needs to start making a difference with these players, let's hope for a much improved second half. |  | | |

Listen, Lambert had to go, it was toxic, his recent managerial record didn't do him any favours either and he did have plenty of time, but our squad is largely overrated as has been for a while. The people who were claiming our squad should walk this league were talking utter tripe.
Go through them one by one, mostly average, ageing, or un proven at this level at best. The one player Lambert paid a fee for (from the league below) KVY has been a class above. I'm excusing Hurst's recruitment as some of that was crazy. | | | |
