Covid probably saved Lambert’s job twice - once by being bringing 19/20 to a premature close and secondly because Evans didn’t like the optics of sacking someone who was sick with it/recovering from it. If that wasn’t the reason why Lambert was only axed when he was I’d love to know why Evans held on for so long.

If fans had been allowed in grounds all this season, Lambert would have been gone in November, if not last season.
