Bad isn't it. And they've also removed the opportunity for deals like this to be scrutinised now before they are signed. We've got a bunch of corrupt chancers running the place. One of their major motivations for Brexit was being able to relax standards and levels of accountability.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Brexit genuinely will be the worst thing our nation has ever done.

All those that voted for it will have to take some collective responsibility. I'm not bitter because i stand by democracy but i just hope people in this country at some point soon begin to vote in a more sensible and less self-centred way, because what has happened over the last 10 years (austerity etc) is probably getting to a stage of being irreparable.

Poll: Is it now time to sack Paul Cook?

Yup. Tho I do hope you're wrong about "probably getting to a stage of being irreparable."

Like you, I hope we can undo some of the damage, but I suspect we're on the cusp of a "lost decade" at the very least.

The people who were able to vote but for whatever reason couldn’t be bothered to, share as much as the blame as well

Another one. The fallout from the financial crisis was always going to hit whoever came in power in 2010, although the coalition have come in for a lot of criticism about their approach hindered the recovery (giving us one of the worst recoveries of all developed nations I believe, certainly not as good as it could have been). Their ideological attack on public services too made the previous decade particularly challenging form any one in public sector roles too. And then they messed up the second half of the decade with Brexit.

And yes, we're setting ourselves up for a very bleak 2020s, from pretty much all socio-economic-political perspectives.

We need the Towen to bounce back and start giving us something to cheer about.

All EU trade deals have to be approved by MEPs in parliament. Just saying...
