The former Maltings 20:59 - Jun 28 with 1251 views | catch74 | In Ipswich is up for sale for £4.7m. Might buy it and turn it into a nightclub, reckon the Gamechanger lot could lend me a couple of quid.

The former Maltings on 21:28 - Jun 28 with 1091 views | Dubtractor | Didn't the Borough Council spend a lot of doing that up as an office building? I'm guessing that investment is looking a little less sound in the current climate!

As well as providing me with an outlet for teenage angst and curiosity, Hollywood must have saved that building. I can't remember what it was before, but that whole side of town was pretty run down. Anyone remember it's pre-Hollywood days?

It went very well, I believe it's full up and there is planning to extend further - in a stylish glass effect similar to Willis - with a roof garden. [Post edited 28 Jun 2021 21:52]

One of my clients are based in one of the offices, and they are done out very nicely. I was quite impressed. The planning you’re referring to is next door, not actually an extension to the Maltings, but yes, it looks as though they’re still going to be pressing ahead with that.

Yeah, I just looked it up and it's in The Star with what must be an artists impression. I haven't been in the offices but I also hear they are very good.

Sounds good, so it's not a sale of necessity then. That part of town is pretty much unrecognisable to me now.
