Barry Ferguson was appointed Alloa manager a few days later, which on the face of it seems a strange move. Kelty appointed another ex-Ranger, Kevin Thomson, who is a well respected coach now in the Edinburgh and Lothians area so on paper a decent appointment, although I'm not sure of his overall managerial experience. It will be an interesting season for them regardless. I believe they start the season with a local derby against Cowdenbeath, which is only a couple of miles away.

the only thing I know about Alloa is Michael Chopra ended up there. Does seem a very much sideways move unless he sees it a stepping stone to better things I will follow Kelty with some interest, especially their game against the great Loons of Forfar. Hopefully they can sustain their progress, but as you it will be interesting season. I see they are plans to expand the Scottish FL to bring a few more clubs in

Tbh, I was tempted to get the Ukrainian shirt. The Crimea inclusion is too good. A kit that will be remembered decades later.
