What are we thinking about Dawn Butler then? 09:02 - Jul 23 with 821 viewsBluefish

Finally someone having the courage to call out this shocking corrupt government or is she part of a bigger scheme?

The subsequent professionally shot video makes me think she is being put up as a front for something. Possibly a campaign at becoming Labour leader?

Got it in one. From wiki....

In October 2016, she was appointed to the new role of Shadow Minister for Black and Minority Ethnic Communities by Jeremy Corbyn after his election as new Labour Leader, later becoming a close ally of him.

She stood in the 2020 Labour Party deputy leadership election and came last. She was not appointed to the new Shadow Cabinet in 2020 and returned to the backbenches.

Well, the prospect of a “bigger scheme” coming from the Labour benches would be a refreshing change.

Good that you pointed out her speech. Wait ... or is it part of a bigger scheme?

Don't know about that but big plaudits to her for telling the truth - something Johnson has a big problem doing. Would that more called his lies out and that the rules were changed to allow MPs to point out when lies are told in Parliament.

Yes, it’s absolutely ludicrous that our politicians can lie to parliament with impunity but to point that out is seen as a heinous sin.

One should always be able to tell the truth to power

She walked from the Chamber with her head held high

It would be good if The Speaker (s) also felt able to tell some home truths to the PM and his Cabinet; hold them to account for the endless streams of falsehoods

Instead, Hoyle is limper than a wilted lettuce leaf

And Starmer is like a fart in a trance
