Anyone know the deal with IFollow this season? Is it going back to only midweek games?

Surfshark VPN
I paid 40€ for 2 x year subscription if that helps.

I wish it could be available for people who are shielding or isolating - but heard nothing from the club when I asked.

I don't think its ethical to use a VPN. I'm not sure if illegal or not. It doesn't take much effort to work out if an IP address is a VPN or not and I know IP addresses have been banned in the past so your £40 might not extend to the full 2 years. And recommending people use the same VPN as you is bringing attention to it.

I genuinely don't know if its legal or not. Anyone?

I'm not sure it's illegal or unethical.

Take the situation where you live far away form Ipswich, your a fan, your kids are fans but have other commitments on the weekend meaning you might not get to many matches but you still want to see the town play as much as possible.

You get to see the town, the club get money they wouldn't have got otherwise.

What's the ethical argument against?

I, like a few other TWTDers, live in Scotland. There is no way I can make it to Ipswich regularly. Scotland has a totally different League, but I am still not allowed to buy the international membership.

So I pay per match. It doesn't seem fair that it costs me more than it would if I lived in France, but my son and I can watch as many matches as we want to (boycotted some during the Lambert ban on Phil) for way less than the diesel cost us when we used to drive from the Midlands where we used to live.

I would have saved money if I had just bought a season ticket and not used it in person! But £10 is a fair price, it works nearly always, and it just rankles a bit that those in Europe or North America get it cheaper. Basically, they should pay £10 a game, too.

It’s a very good deal here in the U.S. annual sun works out at less than four quid a game. Genuinely surprised it’s not more expensive. In the meantime I’ll enjoy the bargain!

I will probably use a vpn to be able to see every game, basically as an insurance. If I manage to get a ticket then I'll go but it was bloody hard to get League 1 away tickets before the pandemic, can't see it being any easier now.

You don’t need a VPN to use ifollow, all UK addresses are open at the moment and I have not heard otherwise.

Nothing illegal about masking ones whereabouts, when I’m 1500 miles from home (Suffolk) sometimes it’s the only way to get to the internet page I want. For example watching the Euros from South Africa or the States with a commentary in English because I can’t get it any other way.
I’d begrudgingly pay for U.K. tv services here (sky) maybe but it doesn’t exist, reference the few who circumvent the system……….good luck to them, I would for away games, but have a season ticket if I was in U.K. & spend my money at my local clubs till (still do shirt on order) as for ethical………come on, it’s not banging a grannie on the head is it!
