I believe it will go well yes
Will it be this season or next, not sure yet. Will he get time if it's not this season? Only Ashton knows. Etc.
But I believe its going well despite the end results and as I posted last week I've always seen this period as pre season 2 due to various reasons meaning we didn't have a full squad pre season this year. [Post edited 23 Aug 2021 20:36]

If we had failed to score in all 4 games I'd be worried
If teams had ripped us apart in all 4 games I'd be worried
But that hasn't happened and there's been more than plenty of positives to look forward to the games ahead. | |

It's trickier fixtures after Saturday too - Wycombe and Lincoln away, Wednesday and Bolton at home, followed by a Tuesday night home game with Doncaster. A good run would put a real dent in some rivals and show genuine progress from last season. Equally, not impossible that's we're sat here at the end of September with less than a point a game. |  |
