Never had crowds at Wigan, even when they were in the PL...

Just one small problem; sell their houses to who, Ben? Fcking Aquaman?

One of the things I don't get about Wigan. They've had several investors come in and spend money on them, but I can't for the life of me understand what the end game is.

They're top of the league, playing their best football for a couple of years, have an exciting new takeover, and there are 8,300 Wigan fans in attendance. That level of interest barely makes for a sustainable Championship club, let alone a Premier League one.

So, why have multiple different investors decided it's worth trying to drive them up to the Premier League? Where's the pay-off? Make a good job of running Sunderland, Ipswich, Sheffield Wednesday, Portsmouth etc. and you might have a sustainable top flight club on your hands. Wigan? Can't see what the business plan could possibly be.
