DVLA issues 09:40 - Oct 4 with 1087 views | Geefunk | Sorry this is so off topic. I have been waiting for a new license from dvla for 3 months and really need this urgently. They don't answer phone or reply to emails and I am totally stuck. Anyone else experiencing similar delays ? I dont appear to have any options to resolve this....
DVLA issues on 09:54 - Oct 4 with 1039 views | tractorshark | Yeah my daughter has been trying to get her provisional license since May. They lost part of her application but didn’t think to tell us that it was still outstanding. They don’t answer phones, they just give you cut and pasted emails or replies on social media. It’s the worst run organisation I have ever come across. I have got through once on the phone and that was by pressing their number at the very stroke of 8am. I would suggest that. We are now going through the process of applying again, which could take another 12 weeks. It is shambolic.

You can get through to them- you literally have to keep ringing and the majority of the time you will get the automated message but then suddenly you will get the option to speak to someone - and when you actually do they are very polite but, I am afraid, they usually just say your application is being processed. My application was actually processed very quickly- for a medical condition-so I cant complain BUT I have a friend whose application for a medical condition is stuck in the system. There is absolutely no excuse for this poor service.

DVLA issues on 10:57 - Oct 4 with 900 views | JammyDodgerrr | Sent my renewal off for a new licence with a new photo on the 19th July and heard nothing. Had to do a paper one seeing as i don't have a passport at the moment - looking at the website over the weekend it said they are processing applications from the 14th July at the moment. Start a new job in a few weeks - would like it back by then with my birth certificate otherwise won't have any proof i can work!

I found the best way to get through was to call them bang on the hour or the half hour in the morning and hope you catch them as call centre capacity increased. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

As far as I was aware they are still working from home so you won't get an answer when calling them.
