Very sad. All those who voted for it knew that a new hospital every week was just "Bantz" and not a real promise too.

I can see why so few are keen to hold their hands up and say 'yeah this was a mistake' because, let's face it, no-one wants to know that they were conned by a bus.

It is the general state of politics that allows official campaigns to lie and then pretends those lies have no impact on the outcome that really gets me. Churchill said the best argument against democracy is to have a conversation with the average voter (or something very like that).

No different to being conned by an antisemitism smear campaign. Or conned by a media that can't comprehend social democracy and the possibility that we're paying too little tax in the top half of society. People believe what they want to believe. And they don't need evidence for that nor will they seek evidence that disproves it. You should have more empathy with them.

If anyone thinks Leave really won because of a bus and a blue passport they also shouldn't have voted either way as they are also idiots.

No, you're absolutely right. It was more likely those UKIP posters and other anti immigrant rhetoric of certain politicians and media giants. [Post edited 11 Oct 2021 6:26]

What cult would that be? Social democracy? Let’s be honest here, you don’t know what you’re talking about. You confirm it every time you have to back up your own meaningless one-liners. And you’ve been played like a fiddle because of it.

“conned by an antisemitism smear campaign”. If you were a member of the Labour Party then you’d be suspended for making that comment after the EHRC report. That Phil continues to allow you to repeat antisemitic conspiracy theories continues to be a source of disappointment.

The EHRC allows me to say that the prevalence and severity of antisemitism was exaggerated for factional aims. It’s also an incontrovertible statement based on the evidence. As you well know, I’ve never denied that antisemitism does exist within the Labour membership. And I really don’t care what the Labour Party and the current ghouls in charge think about that. Anyway, stick to working out why your repeated yet spurious accusations against Corbyn can’t result in him being suspended or expelled from Labour.
