Afternoon all, I’m planning to go over with a mate to see Fortuna’s game vs St Pauli on 11th December (because stuff going to Wigan away!). Has anyone whose been to see them before got any tips? Is it easy enough to get tickets? Any recommendations for places to drink beforehand? Any info would be greatly appreciated |  | | |  |

Anywhere on the main strip (old town) is perfect. So many bars. Haven't ventured far from there on our visits. Easy access to get on the underground/train from there. Think we got out tickets on official club website easily enough. Its a big ground, but not sure what their attendances are so worth checking to see how easy it will be. If your going on the Friday before, I'd recommend catching the Cologne game too if trains permit. Cracking old ground and atmosphere and who doesn't love seeing a big cathedral! |  | | |

Sounds like a good plan! Cologne was a nightmare getting in so might be worth getting to ground a bit early for that one. Mind you, think it was near enough a sell out when we went. | | | |

Public transport is free in Cologne on a match day if you’ve got a ticket, so you can jump on the tram to the ground with that which is very easy.
Got smashed in a great Cuban bar in Cologne once, can’t remember what it’s called. As for Düsseldorf, it’s not huge by any means but some nice bars in the centre. |  |

I had a cracking day at Fortuna Koln. 3rd tier. Good clubhouse, easy access to beer and food, friendly locals. |  | | |

Greetings from Dusseldorf, should be no problems re tickets from Fortuna official site, it is a 2030 kick off, tickets also include free travel on match day, I dont know your hotel accomodation etc , the place to drink is Bolkerstrasse in Aldstat , most Fortuna fans will be at either Scumachers or the Schussel but plenty of bars to choose from, also on the street ( Flingernstrasse ) parallel to bolkerstrasse will be the xmas market well worth a wander around mulled wine, food etc any more info please feel free to PM me. | |

Unfortunately not at the moment it was planned for 1st Janary , the only home game before the bundesliga resumes problems travelling on new year's eve etc meant it was not a viable date plus of course covoid regulations re entering the uk and brexit regulations re needing passports now has put it on hold ,maybe towards the latter part of the season hopefully, being Ipswich born and bred it was the highlight of my year but at least I can watch every match via I follow | |

Everything you need to know has basically already been said, easy to get tickets with them being 2nd division but not sure on covid capacity, old town for all bars, free travel on metro with match ticket. I've been a few times and done football weekends like you've plan and always enjoyed it, you'll love it too! |  |
