The opening story on C4 news 19:23 - Dec 2 with 1713 views | gtsb1966 | That was the hardest watch I've ever seen on the news. The home CCTV clips actually brought a tear to my eye. It was about this awful crime. If you watch it on +1 be aware it's beyond awful. Can't get that video out of my head and I can't believe anyone could be so evil. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-birmingham-59489765
The opening story on C4 news on 19:31 - Dec 2 with 1638 views | Illinoisblue | Just read the story about that. The quote about the six year old boy saying he felt in danger with his dad, and then asking to go to the doctor. Six years old. Unfathomable how “parents” can do that to a kid. Bullet in the head for each of them is the only acceptable outcome.

The video they showed on the news was absolutely heartbreaking. He was so weak and beaten he couldn't stand up properly. I wish I hadn't seen it.

I won’t be watching that. Too much to handle. I’m intrigued how social services were involved yet concluded he was in a safe environment. Or did his teachers not notice his bruises or the fact he wasn’t at school? Other family members not notice anything?

It's been a bit weird since lockdown. Couple of my mates are social workers and they've somehow been expected to carry out checks on vulnerable families via phone for much of that time. How the hell can that work? If someone's willing to lie to you, they will. No way of knowing otherwise. It's an appalling case. They won't be very comfortable inside, that's for sure.

Apparently she was suffering abuse and threats inside HMP Peterborough. Added headache for prison service making sure she and the boys real mum don’t end up in the same prison with them both serving life sentences for murder. This is hitting a lot of triggers for a full life sentence I’m struggling to see any mitigating points that would stop a judge from issuing one. Anything under 30 years and it will be back to high court as being unduly lenient. Saw the head of childrens services in Birmingham retired just before the trial that was convenient.
