Yeah, I think we would, and I think he’d be successful. We no longer need a manager in the mould of MM who handles absolutely everything at club level, we need someone who will get us organised, playing the right way and get some grit and confidence into the players, something that I think Barry could do. He also has decent connections for any young loans etc. and I’m sure he’s learning a lot from Tuchel and would be able to pick his brain when needed. | | | |

Barry's come from nowhere in the betting, which I appreciate only means that a number of people (possibly a small number) consider him to be worth a bet.
It may be that they know that he's applied or is being interviewed. He may not be at all interested of course, but given that he has no obvious Ashton or Ipswich connection, it's interesting that his name has risen up the betting so suddenly.

Hard to see how staying at Chelsea ever gets him a better job offer than this one?
Unless you've had an elite playing career you just aren't going to get a team in the top 2 divisions to take a punt on someone without first team manager experience. |  |
