Any interesting signings on FM22 20:26 - Jan 10 with 1524 views | Cheltenham_Blue | I was pretty disappointed with the transfer budget if I'm honest, god knows who gave them that information. I've signed Marcel Lavinier from Spurs, a right or left sided wing-back and Elliott Moore from Oxford.

Any interesting signings on FM22 on 20:37 - Jan 10 with 1467 views | suffolkpoker | I used to always spend my whole budget on Pablo Di Canio and a random Brazilian youngster and romp the league. Is Adam tanner still a rough diamond?

Barry was always a weird one. If I started him, he wouldn't do much for me. If I bring him off the bench he was fantastic and did a great job as a super sub. I renewed him after promotion to the Championship as a good utility player, but Villa insisted he start more games as striker. Issue was I played only one up top and my new summer signing had scored 20 goals by Christmas. Sorry, but no way is Barry starting over him! Eventually they recalled Barry, but we won promotion anyway so no biggie.

I think the issue is that Paul Cook has already spent the money. The wage budget is still very good for league 1, but not much for transfers.

Sorry, I should have added that I meant following promotion. Salary budget stayed the same, and almost zero transfer budget.

Guessing that's because the reason we have a big budget at the moment is because the owners are putting in extra. The game would need to simulate that.

Gotcha. I can't remember exactly how much I got, but I supplemented my budget by selling Penney for a few million. I also got lots of freebies and put my transfer budget into my wage budget so I wasn't in too bad a shape. Problem for me was some players having really inflated wage demands after promotion.

One of the biggest factors on FM budgets is stature - and a promotion to CH doesn't shift the needle very much. You don't really see that needle moving until 3 years in the new league or if you go up twice. Even in the Pr League, it takes a good 10 years of upper top table finishes to start having similar FFP allowances to Europe's elite.
