Kane or Lukaku 18:07 - Jan 23 with 1516 viewsMetal_Hacker

In your starting eleven ?

Poll: Philogene Conundrum

Kane. City should have signed him instead of Grealish. Kane would be lethal in that team. Too often for Spurs he ends up playing CM trying to get a touch of the ball.

Truly impaired.

Sat here watching this plastic football and I’m really struggling to pick either is why I ask. If I had to have one I think it would be Kane

That said isn’t the old fashioned centre forward as we know it a thing of the past now too ? Is it a little old fashioned ?

City ,Liverpool and a few other Prem teams don’t have that bustling “centre forward “ of old - ala Duncan Ferguson,Alan Shearer etc

Kane isn't an old fashioned centre forward.

He's the epitome of a modern striker.

Poll: Would Lambert have acheived better results than Cook if given the same resources

For the record I didn’t say he was hence the comment about Ferguson and Shearer

Why the reference then in relation to Lukaku and Kane?

"If I had to have one I think it would be Kane

That said isn’t the old fashioned centre forward as we know it a thing of the past..."

Because I was watching the game and it got me thinking about old fashion style centre forwards and how the game has changed and also how teams don’t even play with a centre forward at times

For the record the pair of them are the nearest thing to old fashioned centre forwards ( likewise Calvert- Lewin)than the likes of Watkins , Ings and a few others if I’m allowed an opinion on such matters

Why I’m explaining myself I’m not quite sure but keep up the friendly style as ever Mullet

The problem Lukaku has is Chelsea not playing to his strengths and also Tuchel rotating his forwards to the extent that Lukaku has played with about 9 different combinations of forwards in the last 9 weeks.

For my money the nearest thing to 'an old fashioned centre forward' in the Premier League is Michail Antonio, can be devastating if the opposition defence give him more than an inch of space and a decent team player as well.

I asked Kane to play in my eleven, but he said he's too busy just at the moment and suggested I call back in 10 years time.
