Poisoned chalice - Ipswich managers 17:47 - Feb 9 with 1320 views | Jamiebed | Other than Paul Hurst at non-league Grimsby, none of our former managers or caretaker managers, are currently managing. This is surprising considering how many we've been through lately. Possibly boring, but true.

And, as good as MM was, Mogga was our best manager since Burley too. MM is simply between jobs and managed in the Championship since leaving us. Keane may well soon be managing again. Jewell had been out of management for a long time before he was given the opportunity to fail with us. Lambert has probably damaged his reputation enough to never manage at a level that he is willing to accept the salary again. It wasn't just with us that he failed. The idea that most of our ex-managers cannot get a job at this level let alone above, is testament to the dreadful recruitment we did in appointing them.

Poisoned chalice - Ipswich managers on 08:03 - Feb 10 with 713 views | Chrisd | Perhaps they have made the decision to go down a couple of levels to rebuild their managerial reputations? (In Hurst and Cook’s case). You certainly aren’t in a position of strength if you lost your last job after it finished rather abruptly. [Post edited 10 Feb 2022 8:12]

Mogga was only caretaker for a couple of games after Burley was sacked. I think they were both draws.
