Captain Obvious: really tough game 11:36 - Mar 12 with 970 views | Illinoisblue | I fear we might come unstuck today. Morsy playing with a knock, fridge done, and most importantly of all, Burns either playing hurt or won’t be playing at all. Would say I’d take a draw but that won’t do us any good really. Need Bonne to reappear and be a hero again.

Captain Obvious: really tough game on 11:52 - Mar 12 with 887 views | LankHenners | Sod's law that having dragged ourselves into a proper fighting chance for the top 6 we go into the first of 3 huge games with at least 1 of the 3 most key players in the team injured. Hopefully in this new much better organised defence Burgess can slip in seamlessly though Morsy would be the biggest miss - no-one in the team can play like he can, or at least do as good a job at it. Th flip side is that though Portsmouth are on a great run, apart from Oxford (who they also lost to a few weeks ago), every team they've played in their unbeaten streak has been mid or bottom half of the table. Obviously some good results but it's not as if they've been brushing the likes of Rotherham and MK Dons aside. They've scored 3 or more goals in their last 4 games but we've been very very strong at shutting down dangerous attacks, and they shipped 3 to Fleetwood who only managed a couple of snapshots against us. It'll be tough, tougher if we're carrying wounded but I don't see why we can't do the same job on them that we've done on other teams recently.

Captain Obvious: really tough game on 12:06 - Mar 12 with 847 views | Darth_Koont | Feels like a play-off game almost. We need a result and they do too. And, while a draw wouldn’t be good, a loss for either would be fairly catastrophic. Both sides may come out and have a go for the first quarter although probably not completely gung ho. But I think we might see it become a very tight, cautious game if nobody makes the breakthrough. So not expecting a football spectacle (now watch as it becomes a breathless end-to-end 4-3 victory) but more of a very tense, nervy affair. Great stuff too! How many times have we had one of those over the last half-dozen years?

Can’t recall a Town player having such a decline within the same season. Crazy to think back to October and the 4-0 win over Pompey… fast forward a few months and we have a new manager and Kayden Jackson is our main striker.

Winning breeds confidence regardless of who they have played. 6 wins in the last 7 is very impressive form and even with our good run under KM we've never achieved a run of consecutive victories like that. Nevertheless, that doesn't mean that we can't win today. I'm very excited about today's game, it does feel like it's these types of matches we have missed for a long time now, games that really matter and have something riding on them.

Captain Obvious: really tough game on 13:53 - Mar 12 with 487 views | Metal_Hacker | I’m with you to a point Illy but we are a force to be reckoned with recently and they won’t be looking forward to this either. It’ll be a tough one but I think we’ve got enough about us The boys will be right up for this and with McK’s skills I believe we’ll be ok Very tight 2-1 win Chaplin and Jackson [Post edited 12 Mar 2022 13:58]
