No idea who she is (referring to the woman in the first clip; unfortunately I do know who Nadine Dorries is!), but she's got a very good point. Everyone does pay when trust in politics (and politicians) is shattered.
Chris Bryant made the point yesterday in the Commons, and did so very well - it was an excellent speech.
Starmer too. I wonder if this is going to be his political birth (as far as the electorate go). He's cut a fairly dull figure so far, but his speeches and PMQ session this week have been the best I've seen in a long time. He's starting to look less like a least worst option and more like the leader we need to restore a bit of faith in the process (cue argument from Corbynites that he's Blue Labour, etc., been there, done it all before - this version of Labour would obviously be a better alternative to what we have now and any obvious Tory replacements for Johnson).
PS. Why is Tom Hunt suddenly everywhere? That seems like a bit of a worrying development if he's the one they're now pushing to continue to stoke the culture war. before this week, nobody from outside Ipswich would have heard of him and now he's gone and got himself interviews on national TV.

I asked the same question a few days ago, only with more cursing.
Grizzlers replied:
"It’s being pushed by Tory HQ. The prevalence of certain MPs on social media is not an accident. His age is a huge thing for his party and they were doing Daddy a favour in getting him elected in the first place."
You gotta ask yourself though, if he is deliberately being pushed put out there to help sell the party, who are the hell are they aiming at exactly?

The 'not too bright' Tom imagines that his ill informed utterings have some worth, beyond the fact that they come from someone too clueless to recognise why others are keeping their heads down, and away from the studios (see another Hunt, Jeremy)
It has been left to such absurdities as Rees-Mogg, Fabricant and Dorries to be interviewed etc
Blubba appointed those even less capable than him, the result can be seen on an almost daily basis.

Because most tory backbenchers, when asked to do media interviews, are now, suddenly, busy with other stuff.
Hunt is too thick to have yet realised that Johnson is a dead man walking.

He’s everywhere because the media know that he’s quite dim, loud mouthed and wants to see as an enforcer for the common sense lot. He’ll say something stupid, get the tv station a lot of hits on social media and make news.

Is he also trying to model himself on Johnson?
He seems to be more casual in his dress with his collars deliberately poking out.
The hair is looking a bit scruffed up to go with the slouchy arrogant attitude.
It won't be long until the shirt is untucked under the jacket.
Is that the same discussion where he says that Rwanda is a safe European country?
yes, watch from 24m.25secs to see this clueless idiot make a right arz of himself, as is often the case with righties
he's clearly read something that refutes accepted wisdom and so spouts it out, only to be corrected - as he hasn't read his own governments proposals
from the righties mindset of 'project fear....baa baa
what comes out is that if the government spend some of the £5m a day it spends on housing these people, on getting a competent Home Secretary to process them much, much faster
and it should have been obvious that once outside of the EU and the jurisdiction of the Dublin Accord , the numbers would rocket upwards as you no longer could send them back, from whence they came
my own thought is that there is an intent to have this as a difficult problem as it plays well with certain voters (Tory bigots), rather than clearing the backlog

The answer is 'vile See You Next Tuesdays for whom the bigotry, corruption, incompetence and criminality are not flaws, they are selling points.'

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

If he is now the best they have doesn't it say something about the state of them?
EDIT: Peter Aldous in this neck of the woods in one of those who has handed a letter in. Very few who still support Boris and are unstained from their own dealings (if any).
