Blackburn back in the play off hunt 21:53 - Apr 25 with 1391 viewsIllinoisblue

After a dreadful run of 2 wins in 15. Shows the championship is not quite as insane as L1 has been this year.

Saw something earlier. Apparently they've lost over £10 mill due to empty seats this season. Imagine that when fighting for a play off place to the prem.

That sounds like a made up figure.

Most clubs have spare seat that they can't fill. Doesn't make it a loss.

It’s a bit of a captain obvious stat, though; “club would make more money if it sold more tickets”

Blackburn's attendances do seem to have fallen through the floor in any case.
Their last year in the PL they got 22.5k on average, even their first few years back in the Championship 14-15k.

They're currently getting 11.5k a week.

We'll make very light work of the Championship in 23/24...

GD very tight too, could be interesting if it goes into the final day as the Blunts have Fulham who will want to finish in style. Think a lot could be decided on Saturday though.

Poll: Will Boris Johnson be PM this time next week?

Off the back of a good L1 season, we'd probably be the 2nd or 3rd best supported club in the league. We'd be competitive financially with all but the parachute-payment teams.

The number of 20k+ fanbase teams in the Championship has been dropping year on year.

Mixture of things. Of the 14 clubs that hit that mark in 2017/18:

Leeds, Villa, Wolves, Norwich are currently in the Premier League.
Sunderland and Sheffield Wednesday are in L1.
Derby, Sheffield United, Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest are still in the Championship with attendances still 20k+. (West Brom and Stoke got relegated and joined the club)
Birmingham, Bristol City, Cardiff City and Fulham are still in the Championship but attendances have dropped below 20k
