Remember Johnson, Scowie, Stewart and Naylor - that’s the quality we need again. Sadly Pigott isn’t the answer and I’m not convinced Jackson is either if I’m honest. |  |

Id say it’s due to our approach play. Plain to see that we have no penetration down the left which leaves us very lopsided. We had a tendency to get behind teams a little more in the early part of the season, possibly as we broke with more width.
Either way, it’s a series of issues which we’re evident during our lean spell in the final quarter of the season, not just striking issues. Some of the service was dire. | | | |

I agree that the lack of balance is one of our major issues. When Jackson was at his best and playing down the left channel, we looked in better shape. I suggest recruiting a left sided no.10 to support whoever plays LWB would be a good move. How would Tom Lawrence, released by Derby, be received. An attack minded Central midfielder has to be a priority too as Aluko’s pitch time will be limited again. Morsy was pushed into that role later in the season so we missed his particular skill set a bit deeper. We were very strong at GK, RWB and CB but lacked strong back-up options in other areas. | | | |

Need to replace Bonne Norwood and Celina, and we may struggle to hang on to Chaplin. McK clearly doesn’t rate Pig. 3 is the minimum and it may be more. We need to find 25 ish more goals this season than last and have lost our top scorer. |  |

Yes, but also we weren't playing with the right kind of strikers for most of the season to pull defences around and create space for supporting players. If that's the way we're going, new strikers of that type (like Jackson, but better finishers) are definitely the main missing ingredient. | |

We didn't create more chances in the first half of the season, not by any measure. We were intermittently more efficient in front of goal (we scored 14 times from just 33 shots in our games with Doncaster, Wycombe and Portsmouth) but it was the games late in the season where we were racking up big shot counts for no reward. |  |
