I'd perhaps suggest if Phil did know he probably would be tight lipped anyway to ensure not upsetting Mr Ashton and leaving himself open to any finger pointing should the deal break down - if it were indeed actually happening

Agreed- probably has been leaked from the Leeds end perhaps to prop up the price but I expect it will get done at some stage.

I don't know. Think they may need to get someone else in before they're prepared to sell and they may well also be hoping other clubs come in. I think the expectation has been Championship sides would be interested. As I understand it, it's not a fait accompli that it'll happen.

Another Cook situation where they use our bid to get Championship clubs involved with maybe a better bid no doubt. Move on, we cant wait around all summer. His injury record isnt great from last season anyway.
