Anyone park at the railway station on matchdays? 20:59 - Jul 12 with 1209 viewsCheltenham_Blue

Self and the lad would normally come in on the train but...

a) imminent train strikes
b) The 18:11 doesn't seem to run anymore.

Whats it like parking in there? Difficult getting out I imagine.

I can't tell you the level of dilemma over what to categorise this thread as.

I've got no idea what it's called or the cost, but me and the lad always park in the underground corkscrew carpark place.

Part of our routine, when we get over to PR.

Personally wouldn’t park there, can imagine it’s a nightmare getting out. I always vouch for Crown Street, but if you don’t want to rush off after the game then the Portman Road car park is fine, got a drink in the Black Horse after and let the traffic die down.

I often park at the station. You can pay on arrival so no queuing at the machine after the game.

If you rush up to the station after the game you'll get out quickly. Wherstead Road is the quickest way to the A14.

If you stroll up to the station, it will take longer, but I don't know how long. If you wait half an hour or so, you're straight out.

Normally park in The Crown when I do drive. Always found it takes forever to get out.

I’ve always parked opposite cardinal park but I am lead to believe that car park is gone now?

Ironically I usually drive up from the south coast but I’ve decided to take the train this season as it’s £15-20 cheaper than driving (£63 vs £80+ in the car)

I always park for free on one of the roads off Wherstead Road, near the docks. It's a bit further than the station, but is good for getting out, particularly as I head south to the A12.
