I was a big critic of Lee Evans last season under Cook. Turns out if you give him a capable partner, and change his role slightly he turns in to a machine.
The amount of interceptions, drives forward and importantly headers won in the middle of the park. I thought he was exceptional today.

Yep, MOTM for me too. Was all over the pitch, really positive and calm on the ball. Looks fitter and quicker than last season. He's a bit of a scapegoat though and even heard someone say on way out of ground that we'd have won more easily with Ball. Obviously there was nothing whatsoever to support that viewpoint. |  | | |

I've always thought his set pieces were good. Consistently into a good area, plenty of pace on them. The fact that we're not great in the air shouldn't count against him. | |

He hasn't nailed that inswinging at pace cross/shot from set-pieces yet, but he looks much sharper this season. Seemed to be in the right place to pick up the scraps and get things moving. Looks a bit leaner this season. He was up there with Morsy/Walton for MOTM (for me).
