Don't think you can blame that one on the commentator, the referee caused that confusion, it looked to me like he pointed to the penalty spot directly after Burgess tripped someone. | |

Well I saw it on video and it was a clear trip.
If Brenner has really called it as someone throwing themselves to the ground then that is a totally different narrative being played out on the radio to what I saw with my own eyes.

Did I say the referee's decision was wrong?
I simply was stating that from looking at the pictures, it looked like the referee had given a penalty, there was a clear trip by Burgess and the referee then appeared to point directly to the penalty spot. That's how it looked to me and that is how it looked to the commentator. The idea that the player just fell over, is simply not backed up by the pictures.
The desire by some people to try and vilify the commentator on ifollow for a situation caused by a referee is pathetic. It is almost like they are looking for any excuse to have a go at him which comes across as quite desperate.
The commentator surely has things he needs to improve on, but trying to suggest that he is incompetent for calling this wrong when it looked exactly how he called it on TV is pretty pathetic and just shows that some people are just going for a pile on for the sake of it, regardless of the circumstances.
