Is that why he decided to guide a header over Seaman up Churchmans. Lovely finish.

I guess he was probably a football-mad early teen around the time of our first sniff of silverware in 78?

First?

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

Certainly had an element of class about that own goal unlike Eddie Youds stumbling over the ball into our own net.

Didn't he actually sit on the ball at one point during that?

A true consolation goal, we might have lost 5-1 but I’m glad I was there to see that (and Youds’ one for that matter plus Ian Wright was really good).

Peter Drury said “the Robson years?” To which Dixon said yes. I’d have to go back and listen to see why Drury first mentioned us. Assume it was to do with the Man Utd stat about not losing when ahead at half time

First?

First sniff in the Robson era, I meant.

I doubt he was even alive for Sir Alf's reign.

It certainly wasn’t our first and we had already established ourselves for a number of years previously as regular title contenders.
