Well there's a surprise 19:43 - Sep 20 with 1677 viewsgtsb1966

I've got a feeling that this administration is going to be worse than the Johnson one. Can't stand Truss already. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-62970803

This will upset the righties

"Brexit onslaught deepens as a third of all UK exporters to EU vanish due to red tape knockout"

https://www.cityam.com/brexit-onslaught-deepens-as-a-third-of-all-uk-firms-expor

'The number of UK businesses exporting goods to the EU fell 33 per cent to 18,357 in 2021, from 27,321 in 2020, according to data from HMRC.

Discussing the figures with City A.M., Michelle Dale, a senior manager at accountancy firm UHY Hacker Young, pointed out the fall is due to the extra red tape UK businesses must now comply with when exporting to the EU.'

Continuity Truss innit. The libertarian, no regulation right wing think tanks and climate-skeptic industry lobby have found their useful idiot. She’ll happily to screw us, although the direction of travel is the same as under BJ.

For the tiny nunber of folk who still claim that Brexit was not founded on absolute lies

"Liz Truss has admitted that a UK-US trade deal, long seen as one of the biggest prizes of Brexit, is not on the horizon - Brexit supporters insisted that the 2016 Leave vote would open the way for a free trade agreement with the US, which would dwarf trade deals with countries such as Australia or New Zealand.

But President Joe Biden has made it clear that such a deal was not a priority and on the flight from London to New York, Truss admitted it was not on the agenda." FT 20/09/22

I love libertarians. Bang against government interference in people's lives until those people happen to be not white, not men, not heterosexual, foreign or not utterly prepared to sue up the gaslighting.

The one noticeable thing about the recent leadership battle was how many 'sensible' Tories kept themselves hidden. It was a case of all the kids having fled the scene, leaving the dimmest one holding the catapult next to the broken window.

I suspect that the twaddle she is currently spouting is her part in return for the loonies supporting her. All that will happen with these idiot ideas of tax 'free' areas and Freeports, is that tade already here will simply relocate there, thus paying less tax. The previous freeports did not attract inward investment previously, just benefitted those who moved there from elsewhere in the UK.

Whereas Johnson was an object of ridicule on the world stage, Truss is likely quickly become an object of pity. And it should be borne in mind she polled only 14% in the first round of the leadership vote, and even when it was down to the last three, less than a third of Tory MPs voted for her.

I fear you're right, and expect that it will end in flames. Hopefully this fag end of the sh!tty tory party will be burned to cinders and never seen again.
