I also remember that Walters had a slightly slow start here, took him a while to get going (he joined in Jan/Feb 2007) and no-one was totally convinced by him until the following season. |  |

I’d forgotten that. You are right. I thought him a bit clumsy; a lower league punt all because he’d had I think a decent game against us. Wrong, oh so wrong. He became a really good player for us and especially for Stoke in the PL. what a great career.
