Just thinking about the occasions that we could we feel we have been hard done by by refs decisions and conversely when our opponents have had a good case for feeling that way.

I can think of quite a few that have gone against us and had a real impact, the Harness goal (vs Barnsley?) that wasn't given but looked good, and the Sheff Wednesday equaliser that looked clearly offside. Those two have cost us four points and equally given two potential promotion rivals an extra point each.

That hatchet job on KVY in the Shrewsbury penalty area that looked as clear a penalty as you will ever see but was not given, happily that didn't cost anything as we won anyway.

Not quite so clear cut maybe, but still a good shout for us was the Bristol Rovers handball in the penalty area which wasn't given. Again that didn't cost anything in the end as we won.

On the other side of the equation the only significant decision that I can recall us getting that maybe we shouldn't have was Bristol Rovers second sending off. But given the time, our 2 goal lead and the fact that we were already a man up I think we can say that made no overall difference.

At the moment I make it that we are well down on significant refereeing decisions. Just as well that the quality of our team is minimising the impact.

Any others, either way, that have missed?

Don't boil a kettle on a boat.

Burgess probably lucky not to see a red card late on at Forest Green, when were defending a 2-1 lead and he got caught as last man.

Beyond that, struggling to think of much. Sheff Wed had a big tantrum about the referee, but that was more an accumulation of marginal calls going against them.

Can't remember any penalty shouts against us, nor disallowed goals. We're very aggressive in our tackling, so surely at least one goal resulted from a foul-ish turnover?

We can't do anything about refereeing decisions sadly, we just have to roll with them, like it or not. What we have to focus on is making sure we well and truly finish teams off when we're on top and make ref decisions academic.

Whatever injustices should occur in this or recent seasons pale into insignificance when compared to the absolute travesty that was Clive Thomas in the 1975 FA Cup semi-final.

I seldom use the c-word, particularly nowadays, however in this instance, I can't think of a more fitting description.
