Lee Evans 22:18 - Oct 4 with 1205 views | BseaBlue | Evans came on at the perfect time. The game was just beginning to go a bit flat and he completely orchestrated the match after that. It's great to see him controlling games and showing all the signs of the player we thought we were signing when he joined. Having someone like him that can switch the play and dictate the tempo will be key in games like this.

Lee Evans on 22:22 - Oct 4 with 1138 views | Swansea_Blue | Lee Evans > Dom Ball. Which is no surprise really as he's been for me our standout player this season so far (although Leif has been getting better and better too). Nice options to have.

Ball played really well. He just can’t pick those passes like Evans can. Especially when Davis makes those little runs.
Lee Evans on 22:25 - Oct 4 with 1078 views | Nthsuffolkblue | I thought Ball was excellent first half but had started to tire and so it was a perfect time to make that change.

Lee Evans on 22:25 - Oct 4 with 1064 views | clive_baker | Ball was good in the first half breaking the play up and recycling possession but I agree, Evans upped the tempo and replacing an understandably flagging Ball was the right call. Can’t argue with those 3 subs. Goal 1 was Evans > Edwards > TJJ and goals 2 and 3 were Edwards, with Evans involved in both. Took some breaking down against a stubborn and painfully negative Cambridge but got what we deserved in the end. Clean sheet is great too after a couple of penalties conceded on Saturday. On to the next one. COYB

Absolutely. Ball showed he has a lot of qualities that will be valuable to us. It was more the timing of the changes and Evans taking the game by the scruff of the neck that impressed me. Really like watching Marcus Harness as well. He might have quiet periods in a game but he has a lovely touch and the ability to turn well. That reverse pass he made to Burns in the first half was unreal! | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I wouldn't say better. I think Ball is more of a Morsy replacement and will be worth his weight in gold once Morsy has to serve a suspension (we all know it's going to happen at some point). I presume Camara will cover Evans once he's fit.
