Ball was good in the first half breaking the play up and recycling possession but I agree, Evans upped the tempo and replacing an understandably flagging Ball was the right call. Can’t argue with those 3 subs. Goal 1 was Evans > Edwards > TJJ and goals 2 and 3 were Edwards, with Evans involved in both.
Took some breaking down against a stubborn and painfully negative Cambridge but got what we deserved in the end. Clean sheet is great too after a couple of penalties conceded on Saturday.

Absolutely. Ball showed he has a lot of qualities that will be valuable to us.
It was more the timing of the changes and Evans taking the game by the scruff of the neck that impressed me.
Really like watching Marcus Harness as well. He might have quiet periods in a game but he has a lovely touch and the ability to turn well. That reverse pass he made to Burns in the first half was unreal! | | | |

I wouldn't say better. I think Ball is more of a Morsy replacement and will be worth his weight in gold once Morsy has to serve a suspension (we all know it's going to happen at some point).
I presume Camara will cover Evans once he's fit. | |
