That's got to be the land behind SAR and possibly the cattle market car park area surely??

Could be as simple as the club opening a shop in the Town centre, or a major retail and leisure development on the outskirts of Town incorporating a new Stadium at it's centre.

But I reckon it'll be closer to a new shop or two on a couple of Suffolk High streets tbh.

They've talked before about potentially moving some academy/Ipswich Foundation stuff to the other side of town and the Staples land they bought, of course.

Ashton: We're Going to Rejig Some of the Training Ground in the Summer 31st Mar 2022 14:27
Blues CEO Mark Ashton has been talking about the club’s plans for Playford Road, the debate regarding the locations of the academy and Community Trust, and the land that former owner Marcus Evans still owns. 12

If his skill set is operations perhaps we’re building a new hospital?

Exactly. To attract the wives (and indeed husbands) of future players.

I hope not. Out of town stadiums are the work of the devil.

We’re looking to find space so we can bring in and rebuild brick for brick Penn States ground of 106,000 as we’re going to be that massive 😉

well the latest fan forum shed some light - certainly regarding a shop in the town (not going to happen).
I believe the stadium plan evolves long term around potential building up and back for the Cobbold (over the existing road which would either go completely or be diverted and built to coincide with the new IBC aquatic center. Demand needs to be there though and would see capacity close to 40k which is deemed minimum for a stable income at premiership level.
Also the practice pitch behind the Magnus will go and the Fanzone developed to be bespoke as opposed to its' current guise and a walkway established between there and the SAR.
