What sort of team do people think we'll field against Cambridge?
KM's been going quite strong on selection, imo in the cup matches. But all of a sudden, the Derby game has got a bit of an edge to it after Saturdays loss. Plus it's on a Friday, so slightly less recovery time. Also, Cambridge away, isn't going to be a stroll in the park.
Shame it's not an easier game, at home. Where could of used it to try and get a few players firing again. Think Chappers, Ladapo, Harness and Burns could all do with a goal, atm just for a boost. But I think Tuesday is a tricky team selection, with Derby on Friday...

I think we’ve got a lot of fans travelling and McKenna does rate the competition to keep his second 11 sharp, but as you state Derby under the lights Friday is very close and now the major priority, add in 3 injuries to second 11 players.
Cambridge will want to win this derby on home soil.
My thoughts on definite starters, supplemented by youngsters and first 11 players:
Hladky
KVY
Keogh
Edwards
Ball
Humphreys
Jackson
Big question is whether he risks a Davis, a Harness, a Chaplin, a Ladapo, an Edmundson ahead of the big Derby clash… or we see more youths, especially in attack |  |

U21s had an extra session on Saturday morning and we have called off our game with Millwall today.
I think we will go very young - at the very least Armin, Hughes, Alexander, etc will be involved to some degree
Ultimately, we've earned the right to play a young team, and other than Hladky (and anyone coming back from injury like Camara or Ahadme) does anyone else 'need' the minutes? They are all getting league minutes and we go Sat-Fri-Tues-Sat so all senior players will get minutes over that run no doubt |  |

Presumably starts for Hladky, Keogh, KVY, maybe Ball and Jackson. 45 min for Camara would be nice. But I'd be tempted to keep every one of the first team squad away from this fixture and play as many kids as possible tbh — need good week's prep for a really big game. [Post edited 17 Oct 2022 10:43]

I don't pay much attention.... we've already 'qualified' from the group then? Would love to see the youngsters if that's the case. |  |
