Think Ladapo was poo last night 08:49 - Oct 22 with 1689 views | Bobsthename | His contribution was absolutely zero the only negative of the night can’t help thinking we need an out and out striker and we probably won’t peak until we get one who knows where the back of the net is i’m sure the contacts Mckenna has will find one in January.. Imagine how many goals Stewart would of got in this team be nice to find another like him. [Post edited 22 Oct 2022 9:01]

Think Ladapo was dogs poo last night on 09:07 - Oct 22 with 1522 views | GlasgowBlue | I like Ladapo. He works his nuts off. But he’s not a sub to bring in when we are protecting a lead. We also saw that at Hillsborough where he also had a poor game. I like him starting and running defenders ragged for an hour. But last night he was getting very frustrated at being the only one trying to press the Derby defenders, with all our other attacking players dropping deep. He was shouting at them to help him out. I don’t think that’s his game.

Think Ladapo was dogs poo last night on 09:09 - Oct 22 with 1482 views | Darth_Koont | Harsh. We rarely if ever provide Ladapo with decent service. It’s maybe the flaw/sacrifice in the way we play and the number 9’s job is really to occupy defenders to leave space down the sides. Or it’s our less than clinical approach near the box. Probably a bit of both. Either way, I think people are looking for Ladapo to make stuff happen with his back to goal and dropping deeper and deeper to get a ball to feet. In that scenario, TJJ is a better option. But he still doesn’t pose the same physical threat as Ladapo when he pushes up on the CBs. Goals and him being more of an attacking threat in his own right would certainly be nice to have, but I suspect that in terms of balance and the overall job for the team, McKenna is pretty happy with him. And anyway being more of a threat starts with a lot better service and giving him attackable balls IMO.

Think Ladapo was poo last night on 09:09 - Oct 22 with 1487 views | DJR | To be fair to him, I think Ladapo got very little service when he came on. Indeed, that is often the case with our main striker, whoever it is.

Think Ladapo was poo last night on 09:14 - Oct 22 with 1447 views | Guthrum | He won the free kick which used up the last seconds of the game and prevented Derby having a final attack. For that matter, he also managed at one point to keep the ball while assailed by four defenders as he tried to fashion a shot. Better than many players would have done

Think Ladapo was poo last night on 09:19 - Oct 22 with 1379 views | Bobbychase | As someone else has pointed out, it was noticeable after he came on that we stopped pressing so high, to defend the lead I assume, and he was often the only one chasing down three Derby defenders. It left him very exposed. Cannot believe the stick the man gets tbh.

Exactly, when he got the ball he held it up... he was also the sole press against 4 defenders. Freddie has never been known for his pace. I'm wondering what those criticising him expected him to do?

But this requires a (pretty basic) level of understanding that Bobsthename sadly is lacking. Still, it's nice he gets to join in.

I trust KM but personally, I wouldn't have brought Ladapo on for JJ. I'd have put Edwards on for JJ, and then have KJ as the lone pressing forwards and Edwards on the left. KJ can run and run. He'd have been more effective than Ladapo at pressing the defenders.

Sorry but could not see what Ladapo bought to the team . He may not be a runner but Christ he was lazy when he came on. Did not even join in with the after match celebrations and ran off the pitch, actually put more into that then when he was on the pitch. Can understand why Jackson was selected, his pace won us the game……we will forget the pen.
