I agree we need a centre forward, but Jackson is the one who is the most out of his depth.
And as for those who are calling for Bonne because their opinion is being swayed by the fact he is an Ipswich boy, need to remember he's been responsible for some of the greatest misses of all time for ITFC and scored precisely zero goals in his most recent number of games for Ipswich, during which the so called useless Ladapo has scored 10 in the same number of games.
I would say Jackson is a one trick pony, but that's quite offensive to one trick ponies. He might be a good athlete and has good pace but Jackson never was and never will be a footballer and he's League two at best. | |

He wasn't great. If their defender hadn't knocked it off him when he spun them with pure strength this whole forum would have been quite different though. Small margins.

Our summer transfer window really was criminal in this sense. Nothing against Ladapo on a free but I think everyone knew it was a massive risk to rest all our hopes on him as the lone No9.
A top notch striker can make all the difference on his own, god knows why we refused to heavily invest in that position. We have the chance now but it may end up being too late and we'll have to pay a premium. | | | |

Ladapo is fine as a 3rd or 4th choice striker for a top 2 club (as he was at Rotherham).
However, i'm not too sure he has that killer instinct and composure to be a nailed on starter at a club with top 2 ambitions in this division. In reality, we should have won comfortably today, but a lack of composure and quality was our downfall. Ahadme, Jackson and Ladapo won't see us finish top 2 i'm afraid. Don't get me wrong, he is a really good option, but not someone you want to hang your hat on. | | | |

As for 'Ladapo Lovers', he's an Ipswich player. I back our players. Yes he has his faults, could have scored an easy header today, but he never gives anything less than 100%.
Do we need another striker to create healthy competition and mix it up a bit? Of course we do.
But until today,k we were the league's top scorers. And we became the league's top scorers by playing a certain style that does not necessarily benefit a traditional number nine. |  |
