But we invited that on Bankster. As 27K people thought at the time the equaliser was inevitable.

And BTW, that shot "of real quality" may have got a deflection but I cannot say that for certain.

Not sure about the deflection.
I agree that we allowed then space to play in at the end but bizarrely, and I always fear the worse, for once I couldn't see them playing through us to create anything. That'll teach me!

Equally if it wasn’t for a dire finish we would’ve gone 1 nil down before that.

Thought 1-1 was a fair result on balance. We didn’t create enough to win the game.

There was a deflection, quite an obvious one from the angle I was at (Sir Alf just to the left of the goal). Also you can just tell from Walton's dive, he's fallen under it and stretching desperately as the deflection just gave it that loop to go over him.

Quite a significant deflection from my vantage point in SAR lower.
Howler of a miss that hit the bar too.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

100% deflection. Was right behind it but not sure Walton would of saved it anyway.

Burgess has said that it deflected off him (as per Fleetwood).

So if we didn’t have a goal score against us, we would have won?

Thanks a lot mate add that to the other 10 points you think we would have won but didn’t this season

That's good enough for me. Oh well a fair result on the day. From the Cobbold the ball did seem to take a strange loopy flight.

Not saying that. Charlton was flounce-worthy, today was not.

Yep, draw a fair reflection of the match overall in my opinion.
Enjoyed it despite the late equaliser, they’re possibly the best team to visit us this season and was impressed with their high energy and not allowing us to impose the game on them for any sustained period.
