Sat in the car park on West End Road after the game 22:08 - Jan 14 with 2736 viewsCheltenham_Blue

Waiting for traffic to actually start moving, so logged on here quickly and equally as quickly, logged off again.

By Christ there was some dick swinging going on by people who weren’t even in the ground.
It was a good game, I’d have taken a point before the game, and yet the reaction on here?

Wow.

Agreed! Simple as well.

Why on earth would you take a point before that game? At home, in front of a full house, 7 points behind, when we were level with them just before Christmas. Against a team who have spent a fraction of what we have. Wednesday are in from, I guess a point against them to solidify 3rd would be decent as well.

More weird loser mentality from some of our fans.

For some of us it's the fragility we show late on in games, combined with us being in a real slump at the moment

Spent less than us on transfers yes but they have had 5 loanees all season. 5 of their players on the pitch yesterday (starting/subs) were loanees.

I wanted us to win but I don't see a draw as anything like the disaster some people appear to be seeing it as. Disappointing, yes. A disaster at this stage of the season, no.

You’d have taken a point at home? Really? We needed a win. Overall, a very disappointing result after once again being in front.

Against the league leaders, yes. It was far far more important for us not to lose.

Think it's more the way it played out rather than just the result itself. Had we scored a 93rd minute leveller after trailing I imagine the mood would be different. It's the recurring issue of losing points from winning positions that has added to the consternation, coupled with the other recurring issue of dropping those points late on, and under relatively little pressure.

You’re making yourself out to be a bit of a loser here.

We are all really gutted after yesterday. I personally wouldn’t have taken a point and am disappointed that we didn’t win. Especially with the timing of the goal.

But this narrative that we should be beating every team because we’ve spent more money and we get higher attendances is becoming tiresome. The sense of entitlement is tedious.

Not at all, it’s sports, things don’t always work like that. What does irk me is some of our fanbase who seem to think it’s all fine and it was a good point. Accepting not getting it done and trying to put a positive spin on it. Have they been asleep for 6 weeks?

The notion it was more important not to lose than to win is not the mentality a club like us should be having at home. What, just so we can stay interested? It was a huge home game and we needed to make a statement, failed unfortunately.

Any team that is happy to draw at home will not be good enough or deserve to get promoted.
