This is all a bit 'Trumpian' isn't it? on 08:40 - Feb 3 with 890 views | Herbivore | Shouldn't his tax return have been prepared by the 31st of January? Surely he's not in for another fine?

This is all a bit 'Trumpian' isn't it? on 09:18 - Feb 3 with 742 views | MattinLondon | Does the phrase ‘being prepared’ in context to his and his family accounts, actually means that he’s paying a firm of accountants a lot to hide some of his money somewhere?

I was thinking along the same lines and wondering whether Sunak holds a doctorate? In which case it could be that they journalist muddled the line: Mr Sunak said he was willing to be "transparent" and publish the documents, which were "being prepared". which should in fact have read: A prepared Sunak said he was willing to be "transparent" and publish the documents, which were "being doctored". This is all a bit 'Trumpian' isn't it? on 09:56 - Feb 3 with 671 views | DJR | I imagine, if and when Sunak gets round to publishing anything, it will not cover much more than his Prime Ministerial and Parliamentary salary, because he will have so arranged his affairs that his real wealth, and income from it, will be elsewhere. But those arrangements probably won't be in force until a future tax year, hence the delay. [Post edited 3 Feb 2023 9:58]
