Unfortunately the 12 points would only really help us to solidify a play off place at this stage. Wednesday and Plymouth also both have a number of fixtures that look very "winnable".
Hard to know what Gamechanger will do if we don't get promoted. I'm sure that the expectation this season was promotion and they'd have expected us to be out of Division 3 by now. Initially their target was the Premier League. Looks a very long way from where we are right now. |  |

Don't get me wrong, we should have beaten Rovers and it was a disappointing result. But is W3, D1 L2 F9 A9 awful form? That was their home form before playing us.
EDIT: I guess this should be balanced against them having lost 4 on the trot overall. They seem a chalk and cheese side who beat Peterborough and drew with Plymouth and Wednesday but have frequently lost to lower sides in the table. [Post edited 16 Feb 2023 10:41]

At the moment we don't look like any game is a given, so I wouldn't be so sure of that.
That said, if we won 4 games on the spin it wouldn't be papering over cracks at all. It would more or less guarantee us qualifying for the play-offs and would give us crucial momentum going into tougher fixtures. Don't think there's much chance it would get us significantly closer to the Top 2 but you never know. [Post edited 16 Feb 2023 10:48]
