Anyone been to Seville 09:03 - Mar 15 with 1046 views | hype313 | Going tomorrow for an impromptu weekend break, looking forward to it. Shame neither Seville or Betis have a game though.

Anyone been to Seville on 09:12 - Mar 15 with 1005 views | StochesStotasBlewe | Lovely City. Visited while on a break in the Costa de la Luz five years ago. Two days in Seville though not concurrently. Some fantastic tapas and paella and plenty to see there.
| We have no village green, or a shop.
It's very, very quiet.
I can walk to the pub. |

Anyone been to Seville on 09:28 - Mar 15 with 965 views | bluefunk | Great place to visit, very traditional Spanish rather than over touristy, if that makes sense. Find a Tapas bar in one of the squares at lunchtime, visit the Cathedral and the Alcazar, and especially the Plaza De Espania.
Anyone been to Seville on 09:32 - Mar 15 with 963 views | blueasfook | Great city yeah. Home of Flamenco. About as Spanish as it gets. They still have bull fights at La Maestranza.

Cheers, will give those a look! Looking forward to some sun on the old bones and gently wandering around without kids in tow!

Thought they banned Bull Fighting? Not that I'd go, bit too barbaric for me!

Anyone been to Seville on 09:43 - Mar 15 with 896 views | TVRBlue | A beautiful city. Wife and I did a cycle tour of the city with a tour guide - 9 of us in total with the guide. Generally flat terrain, really gentle pace, and distance-wise really not very far, so not strenuous at all. A very enjoyable way to get and see a lot of the more interesting places in the time we had which we wouldn't have managed on foot - and I certainly don't think it would have been as enjoyable by walking. One thing I would wholeheartedly recommend going to is the Flamenco Dance Museum here : https://museodelbaileflamenco.com/index.php/en/home/ making sure you purchase ticket(s) to a "Flamenco Dreams Show" which is three dancers, two singers, and one guitarist. If I'm honest, when my wife said she wanted to go and see this I wasn't too bothered, but having seen this I can't recommend it highly enough. Plenty of places serving beautiful tapas and good wine (or a cool beer) and make sure you try the churros! Whatever you choose to do have a great time there.
Anyone been to Seville on 09:47 - Mar 15 with 878 views | StokieBlue | It's a beautiful city, I've been fortunate enough to go many times. The Alcazar is fabulous and worth a good few hours of anyone's time. The Jewish quarter round the side of the Alcazar has lovely garden squares where you can get great food (try the Fideua if you can get it). The Plaza de Espana is also nice This place is great for a drink and some old fashioned tapas: https://www.elrinconcillo.es/en/home/ The Maestro Marcellino is great, get the meat and cheese board with some Pedro Ximenez sherry. You've picked a good time to go, Seville is oppressively hot in the summer. Enjoy! SB

Cheers! Both my Wife and I are really keen to see a Flamenco show so will definitely be booking that

Cheers SB, some great little recommendations there and I know you are a foodie so no doubt they will be gems. Yep, 26 at the moment so will be perfect temperature to wander around without the oppressive heat taking it's toll.

I was stupid enough to visit in August. It was 44 degrees in the afternoon! Streets were deserted. You understand why the Spanish have a siesta, especially in the south.

You're welcome. I've just had a quick look on their website and some of the performances over the next few days are already sold out so I really would consider booking tickets in advance as this particular place is known as being the best. 25 euros per ticket just for the show, or 29 euros including entry to the museum. The museum isn't very big at all but was interesting to have a look round to get a feel of the history of Flamenco.

Yeah as much as I'm looking forward to warming the bones, that would be too much, need to have a shower every hour

If you've ever wondered why people go mad about Spanish omelettes, go to Uno de Delicias. All their tapas are good but the omelettes are unbelievable DIsfruta tu viaje

Bullfighting isn't prohibited anywhere in Spain. As far as I know Catalonia was the only region to ban it but that was overturned soon afterwards by the courts in Madrid.
