I hope Barnsley win but I hate the fact that the winners get all the glory for finishing in the top six when the champions of the league have so much less, I just don't like the play offs it should be top three get promoted IMO. |  | | |

The play-offs I think are needed to keep football at the levels below the Premier exciting imo. Without them, I suspect the new TV deal would not happen. |  |

Or we could all go back to the way we were before the play-offs and the Premier League and all that w@nk, before we needed constant and instant gratification and razzmatazz, when we were happy with good, honest, old-fashioned 3 up 3 down.

Remember it well. But my word, football did need a shot in the arm during the 80s to reignite interest as crowds were dwindling everywhere. The Play-Offs helped as did Sky. It has gone a bit far now though however with the vast sums about being largely dominated by the select some. | |

Do you know how many pointless mid table games there would be from Christmas - May if you went to the top 3 going up. I’m a fan of the playoffs but these finals have been a bit rubbish. |  |

That would have been a lot less stressful, a lot less fun too given how it turned out.
I like that play-offs, keep things much more interesting and can produce some outstandingly good matches (from an excitement rather than a technical perspective). | |
