Yep. It’s effectively the Intertoto Cup, given that that used to be a qualifier for the Europa League and this now works in the opposite direction (Europa League cast offs after it’s shrunk down in size).
Or to put it another way, it’s 3rd tier Euro, just like the Intertoto. Which is fine. I don’t see why there’s an element of snobbery about it from some quarters. [Post edited 7 Jun 2023 23:13]

I know that the current format of the European competitions is ridiculous , but....
And it is a big BUT .....
Would you all wouldn't have wanted it now?
Just a few tips for you:
- think about Marcus Evans' horror era
- think about Skuse/Chambers' syphilis and their 'nice' words in the interviews that people used to love to hear.........no talking on the pitch though
- spineless relegation back in 2018/19 where the players didn't show any heart for the club at all
-23 years without any semblance of success

I'm no fan of the Conference League but to put it below a tournament which includes youth teams is a little to dramatic |  |
