Very very good goal, but how poor are Weds?! 21:54 - Aug 4 with 1256 views | unstableblue | That runner has to get marked But throughout the game just how much possession and ball have Wednesday given away… just criminal Not good that Saints are getting momentum… but just a bit more quality from Wednesday and they get a draw [Post edited 4 Aug 2023 21:54]

It’s a fair cop But a loss in the first game, then doubts about Martins system effectiveness creep around the saints fan base… this win will give them a boost

Very very good goal, but how poor are Weds?! on 22:08 - Aug 4 with 1126 views | NthQldITFC | Wednesday decided to give Tella, Edozie and Ward-Prowse as much space as they wanted to start off in, which I found a somewhat odd strategy!

Also, I think Walker Peters was given the keys to the city of sheffield on 22:31 - Aug 4 with 973 views | unstableblue |

Seems to me that the Wednesday veterans aren’t fit or able to press , so had to let them pass it around at the back , if they had pressed they would have been even more open. Needs must if u like. Thought they were awful, funny thing , over on the owl stalk , they are taking that performance as a big positive , they had 23% possession and were dominated. They couldn’t get the ball9ff the Saints for most of the 9 minutes added in and when they did , they just gave the ball straight back after one hoof up the pitch.

One of the favourites to go up against one of the favourites to be in the relegation zone. League one enthusiasm versus Premier League class. Wednesday gave their all and showed effort enough to put in a workmanlike performance. A draw would have flattered them, but with that support they should survive. Saints worried me a lot more, especially as Russell Martin has funds to strengthen. Isn't he keen on Nodge's Aarons at about £10m. That would be a solid purchase for the Championship, imo.
