They've had a bubble fixture for quite a few years now. I know someone who lives on the fringes of Cardiff, probably no more than 15 mins from the stadium. They have to drive to Swansea, jump on a supporters coach and then head back to where they came from. Takes about 2-3 hours extra, lol. And then repeat at the end of the match. They're crackers doing that.

Crazy timing for this one too - they're normally midday fixtures. Letting people drink all day before the match is going to be hilarious.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

It's a different approach, although no less odd than ours. For us to give priority to those people who courtesy of their STs are in a position to buy tickets, irrespective of whether they actually attend all of those games, is just nuts.

The stubs approach was better - at least it meant you had to attend the game. With digital turnstiles, I wonder if there's something we could do there to capture attendance on apps linked to accounts?

Maybe on safety grounds?

You didn’t get arrested last year so we can trust you to go this year?

Maybe.

To be honest, my assumption was that last year as the fixture was in April they might have done it on number of away games been to that season - but as this is close to the start of the season they are rewarding fans from last year. But like I say, just a guess.

Either way, getting on a coach without even a bottle of water at 3pm for a 7:45 kick off 40 mins away is absurd.

Photographed a Cardiff v Swansea game back in 2010, Chopra played.
There was far more agro on the pitch than in the stands. Mainly caused by Craig Bellamy.

Just missing "Have a nice day!" or similar at the end.

Good news for them:
"A limited number of tickets will be made available for supporters who live closer to Cardiff, or further east, to travel independently.
You must purchase a Swansea.com Stadium travel package first to secure your place. If you wish to travel direct, you must then email your request to traveldirect@swanseacity.com with your name and Jack Army membership account number.
If your request is approved, you will be notified and the coach travel element of your package will be refunded to you.
This option is limited and requests will be processed on a case-by-case basis. We advise supporters to email us as soon as you have booked your travel package, and not before."

I remember going to Norwich away one season when my wife lived in Norwich and us being shepherded back to the station whether we liked it or not.
